My 979

My Vitus 979 that I bought new in the mid 1980's.  Recently rebuilt, all original Shimano Dura Ace group except new chain, bearings, cable & housings, and bar tape.  I have many, many miles on this bike.  It still rides great.  Now I ride with my kids and tell everyone the bike and I have aged gracefully together!

My Vitus 979 Bertin (alum) with Campy set. Got it off Craigslist for $100! Changed saddle, tires, cranks, bar tape, brake shrouds, all cables and housings. Rides so nice. Best bike I've ever owned.

My Vitus

Hi,
 
I have just seen your 'My Vitus' section on your Vitus website.  I have attached a picture of my recently purchased pride and joy.  I have an email from Gios saying it was one of the bikes issued to the Tonton tapis Pro team.  It has 'S Roche' hand painted on the top tube.  I would be interested in it being included on your site and any feedback from you/others.
